painting meditation workshop
“Through mindfulness you will find that you have even more reasons to be happy than you thought.” Thich Nhat Hanh
Painting meditation is an incredibly peaceful practice. Born in my morning pages in 2016, I discovered this very simple practice to be an alternative to more traditional meditation. It was a different way to access the present moment, my breath, connection to humanity, and love. So eight years later, it is still one of my favorite ways to meditate and pray.
During this workshop, we will connect to what mindfulness means to us personally, our current practices and rituals of meditation, and practice painting meditation together.
No experience with painting or meditation is required.
Space is limited. Email jcbiss@gmail.com and PayPal or venmo Jeanne-Hansen-3 to reserve your spot.

“A few years ago I was introduced to a special form of artistic meditation by Jeanne Hansen. This particular practice of meditation has been a part of my life ever since. It provides me grounding whenever I need it while also allowing me the opportunity to send love and good energy to others.” - Jill McFadden
“Jeanne's workshop allowed me to explore creativity in a new way. She shared her own stories and led the workshop with questions that inspired me and gave me a safe space to have fun and connect to self. I recommend this workshop to anyone who is looking for a way to bring in just a little bit more mindfulness and presence into their everyday life.” - Natasha Wong
“I found that the painting meditation workshop helped me in so many aspects of my life. For the past couple months I have been trying to drive with kindness (trust me much easier said than done) but still found myself filled with rage when I’m stuck in rush hour and the Tesla that came out of no where cuts me off...welcome to California driving. Since the workshop I have been saying the metta prayer for not only the people who cut me off but the other drivers I am stuck in traffic with. If you want to smile like a goober while driving 2 miles an hour stuck on the highway I can’t recommend this enough. The metta prayer has touched me so deeply, because isn’t it that all we want- to touch others lives for the better? Even if it’s that Tesla...I guess they had somewhere to be and I hope going in front of me got them their quicker...and happier and healthier for that matter. Thank you Jeanne for not only bringing happy little triangles to my life but also a little contagious kindness.” - Vanessa Hall
