happiness, mindfulness & gratitude
“Which comes first: happiness, mindfulness or gratitude? What does it really mean to live mindFULLly? To be wildly grateful? To feel fully alive?
How do we answer these seemingly basic and at the same time abstract questions? And how do we apply those answers to our lives? How do we GET THERE? A daily yoga practice. Sitting meditation. Morning Pages. Art making. Scribe lengthy gratitude lists. As these "present moment" prescriptions become increasingly encouraged, we start to wonder - is there something I'm missing? Am I really living a life that is FULL, MINDFUL and one of GRATITUDE?
Maybe.
“The present moment is filled with joy and happiness. If you are attentive, you will see it. ” ― Thich Nhat Hahn
This month we're thrilled to be in conversation with Jeanne Bissmeyer. As an Artist, Art Therapist and Yoga Instructor, Jeanne's approach to presence focuses on being present, cultivating gratitude, and human creativity. Jeanne's work has taken her across the country and around the world, sharing her knowledge and learning the art of presence from her students. Her workshops center around tapping into unfiltered authenticity to gain access to one's truest authentic self. During this evening session she'll ignite creative and mindful movement in the body through yoga, and guide the group through discussion and exercises to LET GO and give in to the present moment.”
